THE GARDENS OF THE KRÄNZELHOF
Inspired by the wonderful symbiosis of art and nature on a journey through the gardens of southern England, we decided to enrich our winery with an art garden.
In 2006 we opened the first part of the 7 gardens.
Today our garden landscape covers around 2 hectares and offers a stage for changing exhibitions of national and international artists. The magic of the gardens arises from the variety of moods. Along the paths that meander through trees, bushes, small water landscapes and the maze, you will always discover new, magical places that enchant in their simplicity and silence.
There is no bad weather in the gardens - because they offer shady and sheltered places in sunshine and rainy weather and show themselves in a wide variety of facets, depending on the time of day and the incidence of light.
7 Gardens: Garden of Trust, Garden of Emotions, Garden of Courage, Garden of Heart and Love, Garden of Expression, Garden of Intuition, Garden of Consciousness.
Accompanying landscape architect: Bernhard Zingler.
SCULPTURE GARDEN
The spectrum of the selected works of art is broad and ranges from figurative to abstract. Innovative, contemporary materials such as metal, wire, glass, ceramic and plastic alternate with traditional materials such as stone, wood and bronze.
The placement of the sculptures takes center stage and makes our gardens unique. The close connection between art and nature is crucial. It is a special joy when you discover hidden works in the remote parts of the garden. These are real "wonderland moments".
The Garden Art Gallery lives with and from our artists and supports national and international art.
The project is supported by the cultural association K.ART.

"A ENDLESS DREAM..."
MICHAEL HÖLLRIGL

TEMPORARY EXHIBITION
from 12.04.until 12.11.2025
The human figure was the lifelong theme of sculptor and draftsman Michael Höllrigl (1936–2024). His entire body of work explores the boundaries of the human form. Even when he appears to draw nothing more than an abstract arc on paper, one can still sense the presence of the human being beneath it. He deconstructs the human body, only to reassemble it into a whole.
To the wider public, Höllrigl is best known for his sculptures in public spaces and sacred buildings. One need only think of his most significant works—the people’s altar in Bolzano Cathedral or his numerous fountains.
Whether it is an untouched wilderness or a carefully cultivated landscape, gardens embody a deep longing for paradise: tamed nature and untamed inner worlds meet, perhaps intertwining. In a place shaped by the interplay of nature and culture, such as the Kränzelhof, art and nature reflect and resonate with each other—just as Joseph von Eichendorff expressed in an immortal line from his poem Wünschelrute:
„Schläft ein Lied in allen Dingen, Die da träumen fort und fort, ...“
"A song sleeps in all things, that dream on and on, ..."
The 2025 sculpture exhibition seeks to let Michael Höllrigl’s expressive stone and bronze sculptures in the Kränzelhof continue dreaming—true to his guiding principle: "The hand knows more than the head."
